Rotterdam Film Festival

Oh, yes! Finally, some good alternative-artistic-non-commercial movie. Finally, we can stop thinking in terms of policemen vs. mafia, sugar-based comedies, lord of jewelry saga and special effects. Finally, we can go to the movies just for the pure pleasure of the mind.
That was what I thought. The rest is what I think now…

Rotterdam Film Festival sucks. It started last weekend, on friday the 23rd, 3 days ago. The program is reporting great venues, important names of world of celluloid and bla bla bla. Everything is already ’sold out’. Of course, this is a great news.
Unless you want to watch a movie. I mean, I’m not the only one being unable to find tickets! How’s that possible? Can’t you plan to show more times the same movie? Or in bigger cinemas? But, wait, something is left… after hrs of queuing you can grab a ticket, satisfied you’ll finally manage to feed your brain with pure culture. Enjoy the feeling, it will last until the lights will go off.
I mean, the only film you can find the tickets for are complicated experiments of image collages. You can’t even sleep there, risking nightmares.

But of course, this is the opinion of a profane.
I rented Alice in Wonderland.
