Spring Rolls are Good, too
And the day after… another great dinner!
For the people that start wondering: yes, I’m earning some kilos here…
My friends are all good in the kitchen, and I have many friends.
But, see, we are not just eating, we have an approach towards food that sounds more like a cultural event. So, after the Brazilian-Portuguese dinner, here’s the chronicle of the 24 hrs. later Vietnamese evening: the Spring Roll dinner.
During the Bao Bao dinner, Maria and Seona invitated us for an original spring roll Vietnamese based dinner.
Of course, we were enthousiastic about, but nobody really felt like having dinner ever again, after the quantity of food we were still facing that night.
Well, instead… the spring rolls! First of all: it’s fun… I mean, you make your own selection of ingredients (salad, fish, meat, pickles, soja beans, herbs, whatever) and then you have to roll it up (even if you’re not in spring) on a thin rice pancake.
Ah, ah… the trick is to manage the right quantity of stuffing, without making it explode or open again! And it was very light indeed. So, after the nice evening in good company, also our belly were full and happy.
