The Antikythera has been understood, reproduced, and, gosh, it works well! (it doesn’t run Windows…).

The ancient greek mechanical machine was found at 40 meters down in the sea at the beginning of the 20th century. Many parts were missing, but it has been clear since the beginning that this fine piece of horology, made out of bronze and wood, was able to calculate accurately the position of 7 planet in our solar system, with a really good degree of approximations.
