LinkoRama - part two

linkoftheweek

Second appointment with a review of some interesting links you can find right on the right (ehm) of this post, in the sidebar of Albazilla, under elsewhere.

This time I want to talk about Cafebabel.com. As they describe themselves, Cafebabel is the first multilingual European current affairs magazine, designed for readers across borders…

cafebabel

In January 2001, 4 Erasmus student (at that time I was an Erasmus too!) came out with the idea of creating a common virtual space, to discuss issues and share opinions in a wide European context. In a Europe that digested the unified currency, where scientific knowledge, markets, food and tourists cross the internal borders without any problems, Babel International came to light, and Cafebabel.com is its magazine on the internet.

Cafebabel’s sections allow the reader to think about what’s going on in Europe and behind its borders. Interviews, dossiers, link to news, curiosities, european-wide agenda for conferences, exibitions and meetings… Cafebabel manages to keep us informed, in the real meaning of the word, making us understand what’s happening, gathering and commenting informations about our Europe and surroundings.
