In this image you see one the newest Dutch inventions: a fine for smoking joints… So, being a liberal and tolerant country means lot of tourism attracted by marijuana’s paradise. Being a smart country means find yet another way to get money from tourists: a fine for the ’souvenir’ they just bought!
In fact, you see, the idea of tolerance here in NL is that you are free to do what you want. But if you’re are bothering someone else, well, you’ll pay for it. Litterally.
