Valenswine’s day
If February 14 is the holiday for chocolates and flowers, the 13th should be sponsored by Victorias Secret. The night before Valentines Day, as hush-hush tradition goes, is when every cheater in Manhattan will be out wining and dining his or her other significant other. Call it Valenswines Day.
This is taken from an article of the New York Post entitled “February 13 is for pricey wine and mistresses: in the cheat seats“, in which a famous Manhattan’s restaurant manager explains how shocked he was realizing that the 13th is even busier than the 14th.
Couples look more passionate, and men are willing to spend more in caviar, oysters and champagne… so, what about their poor wifes? Accordingly with recent studies (???) they get a lousier dinner the day after, but a more expensive gift: men prefer to invest in relationships which are not temporary.
Caviar the 13th, Bulgari the 14th…
