Net neutrality

mumblings

After having discussed Beijin censorship and the role of 4 major players in the digital world, here is an intervention about what it could be the internet of the future.
The online magazine The Nation discusses which new policies could be introduced in the future, by will of the biggest phone, internet and tv content providers. Scary. Especially the part about the Data Mining, where it seems higly possible (and already actual in certain environments) to scan mails and data just flowing through a network, to operate distinctions and… better services!

Aren’t these the same tools used for censorship in China?

(I promise, next post will be about partylife and drunk people again… ‘nuf serious stuff!)
