Apple Hi-Fi - Good or bad?
I like things Apple. Their laptops are gorgeous, and their all in one imac is pretty nifty. The nano and ipod are lessons in simplicity and functionality (though I have a few issues with them). However, with the release of the Hi-Fi, basically a big white speaker to which the ipod plugs in. For a list price of $349, its a tad pricey for what amounts to a solitary speaker. The size vs. price bit is weird: expensive enough to actually look at buying an amp-speaker setup, that would look better in the living room, but big enough that the bedroom or office option is a little hard to justify. Thoughts, comments, or if you could, would you buy it?

For a moment (until I checked the image source) I thought you’ve got one of these already on your shelfs!!!
Back OT: many people start to think that Apple is not the same anymore… or at least, they’re trying to push some non-computer products for gorgeous inventions/innovations (on their site this boombox is defined: “the hifi reinvented”). The think-different philosophy is far away…
But they can’t do much more right now. More discussions will be about the new Mac-mini/media-center. With an integrated graphic card. The forums all over the net are burning!!!

yeah, that mac media center is quite cool. Give it HDMI output and a decent sound processor (i.e. hifi quality), and you have the next must have item for your home. Think about it…something that small can replace your dvd player, vcr, and your amplifier. That would be perfect.
