How’s this for a thesis topic?
How does a chap persuade a school to fund a study or award a degree wherein the primary research is playing a videogame and following the storyline? After getting over the ridiculousness of it all you have to consider, who would consider a sample size of 4 games, and a total playing time of 100 hours to come up with his thesis conclusion that minorites are poorly represented.
Hats off to the dude though, he did manage to pull it off.

I would say that in MTV, instead, the white-man is poorly represented
All I can see is black rappers with tons of jewels hanging on their necks, on top of oversized SUV and around shaking-jelly butts… while I’m mozzarella white (lack of sun, not my natural skin colour), I ride a WV Polo and my girl doesn’t go around shaking her…
So I feel not represented

You are totally right Chitti. Only 4 games and 100 playing hours is not enough. However I see the research as valuable and ground breaking. I propose that this research should be carried out in a more thorough and complete manner. To this end I am willing to try 20 games, and up to 2000 playing hours to see if this conclusion is really valid. Now I just need some funding…
