iPhoto for the others…

linkoftheweek

…that can’t enjoy a Mac. How many times (useless question) I browsed through my collection of 17Gb of pictures with ease, retouched photos and produced slideshows with only few clicks? And how many times (retorical question) people asked me: “which program is it?”, “iPhoto”, “only for mac?”, “yes”, “it must be an equivalent for PC as well”, “…”, “…”, “actually not.”

But now, thanks to the web 2.0, the number of online applications which you can take advantage of right through your browser is growing and growing and… what am I talking about (real question)? But the Google Apps, for instance, where you can produce, open and share Word, Excel and Powerpoint files, all without the needs for M$ Office! and now, if you want to crop, rotate, resize and add effects to your photos, just go on picnik.com and sign up!

And you can go even further! Imagine to have a web-portal you can customize as you like using pieces of other web portals… try to embed your mail access, your site for weather forecast, your favorite online-newspaper (newsbit should be called, methink) all in one page: this is netvibes.com!

Will you ever un-plug?
