And here we are! The Highlands are cold and rainy and sunny and stormy and hot and humid all in the same day, the people are extremely friendly, although nobody speaks english shock , the food is fantastic (!!!), and we are (finally) in a vibrant full-size city!
Ah, so many new things to learn! From where to do groceries to how to take a bus, everything is a challenge… at the same time, an entire culture and lots of place to discover, plus so many opportunities to catch (the whiskey trail and the golf training course are on my wish list).

My new job started a week ago, at a pace I didn’t know it was possible… but it’s thrilling to be part of a big company and to work on their projects. Moreover, all my colleagues are so passionate in what they’re doing… fantastic!

We are living in a temporary accommodation, a studio/hotel room just in front of the harbor (which is in the center of the city!). This is the view from our windows:

…and we’re packing, few years of our lives in several boxes, or selling to the highest bidder.
Everything goes so fast and everything went too fast so far. But we’ve experienced, enjoyed, suffered, met, left, tried and done again so many things…
But now I have to go back packing )

Imagine a warm summer night, imagine the stars of the sky in Athens, imagine a theater where our ancestors were cultivating art, imagine the majestic Partenon overlooking on us, imagine two fascinating dancers…

And the winner is…

Let’s say you’ve got your brand new computer, a monster with several GigaHertz of speed and Gigabytes of RAM, costed you Gigadollars from your last salary, featuring all the hyper technologies that once you could have only imagined… ahhh, now, let’s boot… (waiting time here) …and let’s open that Microsoft Word document… (waiting time again here) …!!!

What’s happening? Mmmh. If you have some doubts, if you asked yourself, if you got more than the feeling that all this tremendous calculating power on your desk opens the documents and let you do things at the same speed (or a tad slower) than your old beige box with a miserable 266MHz processor… you may be just right!
Not convinced yet? Can’t believe it? Somebody tried it here

ps: this is not about the Mac, although a Mac is used.
