Not For Vegetarians
June 1st, 2007 by webmastroI came across these fonts, and I spent few seconds on thinking to spell ALBAZILLA with them…
then, I had to go for groceries

Albazilla’s Legacy
May 29th, 2007 by webmastroOne of my biggest regrets is that I’ve never kept an off-line copy of the first ‘Albazilla’ ever. Yes, I’m quite a lucky guy if this is one of my biggest regrets, but still, I could have thought about it, couldn’t I?
I mean, that was my first creature down in august 2000, when the web was still primordial and I didn’t have a clue what it would have meant to share your life with the people you love even if they’re far away…
So, no traces of it? well, maybe someone is out there collecting memorabilia of all the pages that composed this web since the beginning.

May 14th, 2007 by webmastroIt’s a dream come true! In this digital era, all the human beings in my age would have been considered losers if they would spend their time building up little helicopters or space-ships out of a Lego box. Some people blame their kids (he needed my help!) while our little creatures of 4 years old is mastering php and creating websites… but finally nobody can argue if we’ll waist our time doing it through the Lego Digital Designer on our powerful laptops!

Nacho is on the way
May 10th, 2007 by webmastro…for a new life, in Switzerland with his love. After more than 5 years in NL with us, he’s one of the early Buities to leave. It’s true that sooner or later almost all of us will follow, but we (I) couldn’t avoid few tears.
He’s one of the 2 persons I’ve been close to since the beginning, and we have been living together a wonderful adventure. Thanks for what you’ve ment for us all, thanks for the friend you are, and prepare Zurich for when we’ll come to crash…ehm…visit
Koninginneweekend
May 5th, 2007 by webmastroYou know that we wait for it the whole year, and this time we had saturday, sunday and a full monday to celebrate (commemorate) the birthday of the Queen of NL! No more words, here are the pictures…
K0walsky
April 28th, 2007 by webmastroDo you like Albazilla? yeah, ok, would you have liked even the first edition of it? A whole blue site with animated icons floating here and there… basically the layout and the contents are completely changed since that far august 2000 when I started this adventure on the web.
But it wasn’t easy, to learn how to make a nice website. And still, I’m so happy to use already made solutions (Wordpress, phpBB, Joomla!, Mediawiki, Gallery…) that just need to be customized, rather than create ex-novo fancy sites. Already like this, I spend 50% of my time dealing with the ‘technicalia’ (allow me the term, please!) rather than dedicating all myself to the contents.
And this could be your own situation as well: wanting a shiny website with interesting bits of your life/hobbies, but not having the skills/time to make it work as it should.
Well, take a look at k0walsky’s work: you may found some interesting inspiration, and you may realize he’s the guy you need… an Italian web-designer which I would have known much before
Feel free to contact him if you’re in need of some ‘guidance’ to build your pages on the net.

April 26th, 2007 by webmastroParty, museum, shop, friend to visit, city to discover: how do I get there? Simple! Using Mappy, ViaMichelin, and other similar services. Google Maps, among these, it’s one of the most powerful… although it looks a bit naif. For instance: are you a good swimmer? well, it seems like you need to be, if you want to reach New York from the Old Continent. Click on the image and check out step 46…
Cafe’ du Midi
April 23rd, 2007 by webmastroI still remember when I skated there the first time: it looked so far away and lost in between the ‘polders’… Instead yesterday night we went there for dinner, and actually I found out that the “Cafe’ du Midi” is just few mins by bike from our place (although we didn’t get there by bike, but that’s another story…).
The story wants that Nacho proposed to have all of us together for dinner, since this was the last time Ambar would have been meeting all of us in NL… (at least for this year: Nacho will move in with her (very) soon in Zurich). So, Fra proposed her favorite place, where it turned out nobody else had dinner before! And here we got. Cafe’ du Midi in Delftse Hout.
The food was delicious, and the company too (even the U-man showed up)… And the detail for the nostalgics: 13 of us, together for one of our last times. Sad, indeed, but look at our smiles in these pictures! This is what we’ll keep of each other, and of all the adventures we ever had…
